The moon came up over the harbor, and it looked exactly like a lantern someone had hung for Lila — just in case.
“Tonight's the night,” Lila whispered to Tort, who was already wearing his little sea-glass scarf because Tort always wore his little sea-glass scarf.
Lila listened for the boat. It had been her grandfather's, and Grandpa said boats are shy, so you have to go first. “Okay,” said Lila, and she stepped onto the dock, and the dock did not step back. That was already brave, she thought.
Then the boat came, the way quiet things come — slowly, and with a soft bump against the wood. Tort settled in at the front. Lila took the middle. The oars were heavy, but they were hers.
And by the time the moon was up high — the kind of high where everything is silvery and nothing is loud — Lila was rowing them both, slowly, slowly, across the smallest bay in the world.
“You did it,” said the moon, in a voice that sounded a little bit like Grandpa's, and a little bit like hers.
And Lila, who had been scared, was not. She was just tired, the good kind of tired, and the moon-rowed her home.

We use the kid’s name and age to write the story, and nothing else. No data is sold, no data is used to train anything off-platform, and you can wipe any story or the whole account at any time. Tucktale is one person, one server, one model — and that’s the entire data story.
